The AT-OC9XEN is part of the latest generation of the legendary AT-OC9 series, with which Audio-Technica has been setting standards in phono cartridges for decades. With its elliptical, nude stylus, it achieves higher detail and lower distortion than models with bonded styli. The square shank allows for particularly precise needle alignment – a decisive advantage for accurate tracking of the record groove.
The aluminum cantilever offers a balanced ratio of stability and low weight, ensuring a fast, precise response. A neodymium magnet in combination with a yoke made of pure iron strengthens the magnetic energy, thus supporting dynamic, detailed sound reproduction.
The aluminum housing reduces unwanted vibrations and resonances, ensuring clean audio reproduction. In addition, the use of high-purity PCOCC coil wire guarantees particularly loss-free signal transmission – ideal for a high-resolution sound image with clear channel separation.
Thanks to integrated threaded holes, the AT-OC9XEN can be mounted easily and securely to a headshell or tonearm without the need for additional nuts.
