Accessibility at Fidelity

Accessibility is important to us. Our website and online shop should be usable by as many people as possible – regardless of physical or technical limitations. On this page, we inform you about the measures we have already implemented and how you can contact us if you encounter any problems.

An accessible online shop for everyone

As a modern HiFi retailer with a large digital offering, we attach great importance to ensuring that everyone can comfortably use our content and products.

We are guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as well as the requirements of the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG), which will become relevant for online shops in 2025.

We are continuously developing our shop to make it technically, aesthetically, and content-wise accessible.

Our past actions

  • Clear, high-contrast display for good readability
  • Responsive design, optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile
  • Structured navigation for easy content discovery
  • Alt text for images to support screen readers
  • Keyboard-friendly operation for many shop areas
  • Easily understandable texts without unnecessarily complex phrasing
  • Accessible forms that are easy to fill out

Current Status & Ongoing Optimization

Our shop is constantly evolving. Some areas are currently still being tested and improved for accessibility – in particular:

  • Optimizing color contrasts for individual elements
  • Improving focus indicators for keyboard users
  • Revising ARIA labels for screen readers
  • Fine-tuning the navigation structure
  • Reviewing all integrated media (images, videos, PDFs)

We understand accessibility as an ongoing process, not a one-time measure.
