The Marantz CINEMA 60DAB SERIES 2 is a 7.2-channel AV receiver with DAB+, Dolby Atmos, and Powered by HEOS™. Immersive Surround Sound for Movies, Series, and Games

Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, DTS:X, DTS Virtual:X, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization, and Multichannel Stereo create the foundation for an intense home theater experience. The maximum number of processing channels is 7.1, with two subwoofer outputs available. This allows the CINEMA 60DAB SERIES 2 to be flexibly used from a classic living room setup to a 7.2-system.

Also a strong solution for music

The improved 32-bit D/A converter, current feedback topology, HDAM-SA2 modules, Pure Direct, and high-quality audio components underscore the receiver's hi-fi aspirations. For music sources, Phono MM, analog inputs, digital inputs, USB audio, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, Internet radio, and HEOS streaming are available, among others. Especially if you want to combine home theater and music in one device, the CINEMA 60DAB SERIES 2 is therefore particularly interesting.

HDMI for modern picture sources

With 6 HDMI inputs and 2 HDMI outputs, the receiver is broadly equipped. Three HDMI inputs support 8K, and 8K/60, 4K/120, eARC, CEC, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, Dynamic HDR, HLG, ALLM, QFT, VRR, and AMD FreeSync are on board. HDMI upscaling from 1080p/4K to 8K is also practical. Two HDMI outputs can be used for the TV and projector; a zone HDMI output is not available.

Streaming and Multiroom with HEOS

Powered by HEOS™ makes the CINEMA 60DAB SERIES 2 a streaming and multiroom hub. Supported services include TuneIn Internet radio, Spotify Connect, Tidal, Deezer, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Amazon Music HD, Roon Ready, as well as lossless formats like FLAC HD 192/24, WAV 192/24, ALAC 192/24, and DSD at 2.8/5.6 MHz. HEOS also enables multi-room playback and control of multiple compatible devices.

Easy operation and flexible setup

The receiver can be operated via the included backlit system remote control RC054SR, the Marantz AVR Remote App, HEOS, app control, web control, and IP control. The modern setup assistant, the high-definition 1080p menu, and automatic speaker configuration via Audyssey MultEQ XT help with setup. Dirac Live room correction is available as an upgrade option.

Planning

For planning, the dimensions are important: Without antennas, the receiver measures (WxHxD) 44.2 × 16.5 × 34.3 cm, with vertically aligned antennas, the height increases to 23.5 cm. We recommend carefully checking the space in the furniture and allowing sufficient room for ventilation and cabling. At 11 kg, the device is not light, but most furniture and racks are designed to easily handle the weight.
