The technological highlight is the JET-Folded Ribbon Tweeter (Air Motion Transformer). This tweeter is known for its lightning-fast response and wide dynamic range. Compared to conventional domes, the folded membrane offers minimal distortion and exceptional fine resolution, making even the quietest nuances in speech audible.

Innovative Aluminum Woofers with Complex Curvature

To ensure a seamless connection to the fast JET tweeter, the CC 241.4 uses woofers with a special cone shape. The complex curvature of the aluminum membrane prevents disruptive partial vibrations and extends the usable frequency range. An oversized, ventilated pole core also ensures powerful bass dynamics and high power handling.

Acoustically Optimized Design and Flexible Placement

The cabinet made of stable MDF walls is reinforced by internal bracing to minimize vibrations and sound discoloration. A special feature is the down-firing bass reflex port, which reduces ventilation noise and allows for more flexible placement in the room or on shelves without negatively affecting bass quality.

Modern Design Meets High-Quality Workmanship

The Carina series combines the legacy of the 240 line with a modern design language. With silk-matte surfaces, a slightly convex baffle to reduce edge reflections, and die-cast baskets with diamond cuts, the loudspeaker elegantly blends into timeless living environments.

Can the speaker be wall-mounted?
The ELAC Carina CC 241.4 is primarily designed as a stand or shelf center speaker and has
rear bass reflex ports, which makes wall mounting (especially directly on the wall) difficult, as it needs space for rear air circulation to sound good; ideally, it should be placed below or above the TV with some distance from the wall to develop its dialogue clarity.

Are the front covers removable?
Yes, the speaker features magnetically held grilles that can be easily removed and reattached.

What does bi-wiring do?
By separately connecting the high/mid-range and bass range via the double terminal, sound optimizations can be achieved. Shorting links are pre-installed for standard operation.
