For the current Smart Vento S2 model series, the engineers in the development laboratory have really pulled out all the stops. A new loudspeaker chassis was developed to improve the technical properties and thus further enhance sound quality and fidelity. The result of these efforts are acoustically excellent drivers with titanium graphite diaphragms. The matt shimmering diaphragms of the woofers and mid-woofers have a low intrinsic weight and operate without sound-damaging partial oscillations throughout their entire usable and transmission range. The technical improvements were achieved through an elaborate chemical process in which the previously used titanium drivers are transformed – both visually and technically. By using the new titanium graphite drivers, the Smart Vento 5 S2 sounds both relaxed and dynamic.

Optimized Technology for Best Sound

In the impressive three-way bass-reflex center loudspeaker Smart Vento 5 S2, a high-caliber team of woofer, midrange driver, and tweeter bears the musical responsibility. The bass specialist in the 174 mm format with a Double Cone diaphragm made of titanium graphite delivers precise, deep bass. In the mid-range, a midrange driver of the same size operates in its own volume, also benefiting from the excellent sound and material properties of our titanium graphite diaphragms. The suspension in the wave surrounds, capable of maximum excursions, ensures high power handling and provides excellent dynamics in the low and mid-range. In addition, the light and stiff diaphragms follow acoustic signals quickly and precisely. Our high-quality tweeter with a 25 mm aluminum oxide ceramic diaphragm stands out as particularly accurate, brilliant, and detailed. Its Transmission Front Plate ensures ideal sound radiation.

Noble and Elegant: The Cabinet

The cabinet of the fully active Smart Vento 5 S2 center is harmoniously proportioned and impresses with its revised cabinet design, which makes the loudspeaker more modern and elegant. But at Canton, cabinets must also meet the high technical requirements of the developers – after all, a pretty exterior alone does not make good sound. The solid cabinet, constructed from multi-layer laminate, the modified cabinet radii, and the slightly altered dimensions compared to its predecessor create the best acoustic conditions for a precise sound image. This provides increased internal volume, allowing the 3-way center to be tuned with more bandwidth in the bass. Furthermore, the new design minimizes sound impairments from the cabinet itself. Multi-layered high-gloss finishes with a perfect surface, the screwless integration of the chassis into the baffle with diamond-cut aluminum rings, and an ovalized, magnetically adhering fabric cover make the Smart Vento 5 S2 center a true premium loudspeaker with a stylish, modern appearance.
