New C-CAM diaphragms for all loudspeakers

C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminium/Magnesium) has been used in virtually all Monitor Audio loudspeakers for 40 years, forming the basis for the precise, dynamic, and crisp sound of every loudspeaker.
For the Bronze 7G series, the aluminium/magnesium alloy has been redeveloped to further optimize strength and resonance behaviour, resulting in an even clearer, more precise sound and higher power handling. Additionally, the diaphragms are now darkly tinted, which not only gives them a more elegant look but also makes them even less susceptible to distracting light reflections, especially in home cinema use (without grilles).

Larger voice coils and more powerful magnets in the woofers and mid-woofers

The stiffer diaphragms allow for higher power handling and thus more output from each individual loudspeaker. To achieve this, the drive of each individual driver naturally had to be revised. Thus, the voice coils in the Bronze 7G series have been enlarged from 25 millimetres in diameter in the Bronze 6G series to 28.5 millimetres, resulting in significantly more precision and accuracy, as well as more powerful magnets that enable faster and better acceleration of the diaphragm.
So: more output (up to six! decibels more peak output compared to the Bronze 6G series) AND more precision, combined with higher efficiency, which makes the loudspeakers even easier to drive, meaning they can show their full potential even with "smaller" amplifiers.

New C-CAM Gold Tweeter with UD Waveguide II

The tweeter in the Bronze 7G series has also been completely redesigned and is now thinner and lighter than ever before, resulting in even higher dynamics combined with improved efficiency.
Furthermore, the tweeter is surrounded by the UD (Uniform Dispersion) Waveguide II, already known from the Silver 7G series, which also increases efficiency (meaning less distortion), enables a lower crossover frequency to the midrange or mid-woofer (which in turn means a significantly more harmonious transition between the individual drivers), and provides a wider dispersion characteristic for the tweeter.
In addition to the optimized aluminium grille with hexagonal openings, which is directly integrated into the waveguide, there are two other exciting, "invisible" improvements. Firstly, a compression ring is integrated into the tweeter, which also increases sound pressure, and secondly, the tweeter's ventilation has been optimized, allowing it to play at a higher level in the crucial range between two and three kilohertz without generating unwanted distortion.
The tweeter has therefore not just been optimized, but completely redeveloped.

Completely redeveloped crossover - So that everything is in order

Due to the numerous innovations and changes in the Bronze 7G series, it became necessary to retune the crossovers from scratch. Here, too, the opportunity was taken to completely redesign them and re-select components - with a strict focus on maximum signal purity and high power handling, as well as maintaining an impedance that never drops below the critical four ohms.
