Characteristic of the Black Cube are its wide spectrum of tonal colors and its almost explosive dynamics. The reason for this is the highly precise, passive RIAA equalization network, which is located between two linear amplifier stages. This is achieved using low-loss, precision MKP film capacitors. The high-quality input stages of the latest generation ensure low-noise reproduction; it's no coincidence that they are also used in high-quality mixing consoles and microphone preamplifiers. The specially developed power supply unit guarantees high overload resistance.

Quality meets Flexibility

Thanks to the maximum gain of the Black Cube, you can connect virtually all common systems on the market, from high-output MM to MC. The configuration options ensure almost limitless freedom of choice: a free slot for a selectable impedance also provides a suitable termination for demanding MC systems. All resistors are low-noise metal film types. Of course, we only use switches with gold-plated contacts to switch the gain and impedances. In addition, there is an extra hardwire slot per channel, which takes effect immediately without a switch.


Flexible and Constant

The Black Cube's flexibility is also evident in its placement: you can easily place it very close to the tonearm of your turntable. This is made possible by the cable between the power supply and the audio section, as well as the compact dimensions of this phono stage, which are typical for the entire Black Cube series. The shielded cable is equipped with an original Neutrik XLR connector on the power supply side. In addition, the housing of the audio section is made of non-magnetic material (aluminum) and is mechanically damped in the lid. The audio section contains additional components for effective hum, RF, and noise voltage suppression. The use of a double-sided audio board also allows for additional ground planes for interference-free operation.
