The heart of the Carina series is the AMT tweeter (Air Motion Transformer) folded according to the JET principle. This ensures true high-definition sound with lightning-fast response and a wide dynamic range. Due to the transparent and detached sound characteristics, music and film sound are reproduced with minimal distortion and the highest level of detail.
Optimized aluminum woofers for powerful dynamics
To ensure a seamless transition to the fast JET tweeter, an innovative aluminum woofer with complex curvature is used. This special cone shape controls the vibration behavior of the diaphragm and extends the usable frequency range. Together with a large voice coil and a ventilated pole core, robust bass performance and impressive dynamics are achieved.
Flexibility through down-firing bass reflex system
A special technical feature of the BS 243.4 is the downward-facing bass reflex tube. The sound exits from the base group, which minimizes noise and significantly simplifies the placement of the loudspeakers. This means that the bookshelf loudspeakers can also be placed in acoustically demanding locations without sacrificing sound quality.
Acoustically optimized and modern housing
The housings consist of sturdy MDF walls with elegant silk-matt surfaces. Strategically positioned internal braces reinforce the structure, minimize disruptive cabinet vibrations and prevent unwanted sound discoloration. The design is based on the successful Line 240, but modernizes it with a new design language with diamond-cut die-cast baskets and no hard edges.
