The ARCAM A50 Signature is an integrated amplifier celebrating ARCAM's 50th anniversary. It builds upon the company's amplifier tradition while clearly focusing on today's listening habits: digital sources, streaming components, TV audio, CD playback, vinyl, and headphones can all be integrated into one device.

The ARCAM A50 Signature combines analog, digital, and wireless playback forms in an uncompromising integrated amplifier concept. In addition to the dual-mono Class-G design and a Class-A MM/MC phono stage, a modern ESS ES9039Q2M DAC provides audiophile digital versatility via USB-C, HDMI eARC, and S/PDIF. Wireless freedom is guaranteed by Bluetooth 5.4 with pioneering standards such as Snapdragon Sound, Auracast, and aptX Lossless.

Dual-Mono Class G Architecture for Separate Signal Paths

At the heart of the ARCAM A50 Signature is the first dual-mono Class G architecture in an integrated ARCAM amplifier. Each channel is built as an independent amplifier module, with its own circuit board, output stage, Class-G lifter stages, voltage regulation, and transformer windings. This design is engineered for high channel separation and stable playback.

Versatile Connectivity for Modern Systems

The ARCAM A50 Signature is designed as a central hub for various music sources. Digital sources can be connected via HDMI eARC/ARC, USB-C audio, and optical and coaxial S/PDIF connections. For analog players, three RCA inputs, a balanced XLR input pair, and an integrated phono preamplifier are available. Control connections such as RS232, trigger input and output, and a USB service access complement the features.

Vinyl Playback with Integrated Class-A MM/MC Phono Preamplifier

A Class-A MM/MC phono preamplifier is integrated for turntables. This allows the ARCAM A50 Signature to be combined with both MM and MC cartridges without the need for a separate phono stage. This makes the amplifier particularly attractive for systems where vinyl has a permanent place.

Digital Music Playback with ESS DAC

The digital conversion is handled by an ESS ES9039Q2M DAC. It operates in a fully differential configuration and is supported by an ESS reference voltage regulator. In practice, this means: digital sources such as streaming components, computers, CD transports, or TVs can be connected directly to the amplifier.

Headphone Listening – Wired or Wireless

The ARCAM A50 Signature supports both wired and wireless headphones.

Thoughtful Casing and Internal Layout

The power supply is centrally located, while analog, digital, and power-carrying sections are carefully separated. The rear panel follows this approach as well: the speaker terminals are located at opposite ends of the casing. This layout supports the consistent separation of channels and signal areas.
