McIntosh CS200 In-Ceiling Loudspeaker – Ceiling Speaker for Custom Audio and Home Cinema

The McIntosh CS200 In-Ceiling Loudspeaker is a ceiling speaker for permanently installed, house-wide audio systems and for surround applications in home cinema. It combines discreet ceiling mounting with a design optimized for audio installations in living spaces and home cinemas.

Area of Application and System Integration

The CS200 is designed for multi-room custom audio installations and surround applications in dedicated home cinemas. McIntosh recommends amplifiers such as the MI128 and MI254 for these loudspeakers. For home cinema applications, McIntosh A/V processors and multi-channel amplifiers are intended.

Sound Tuning and Driver Concept

The CS200 is acoustically matched to the McIntosh WS500 and WS300 In-Wall Loudspeakers. This allows for a coherent soundstage when combining ceiling and wall speakers. The mid-range and high-frequency drivers correspond to those found in the McIntosh XR50 and XR100 Home Audio Loudspeakers.

Fine-tuning in the Room

The mid-range/high-frequency unit is rotatable and can be aligned to the respective room during setup. For larger adjustments, the entire loudspeaker can also be rotated. This allows for more precise tuning of playback to the listening position during installation. More detailed information can be found in the manual.

Design, Grille, and Room Integration

The magnetically attached metal grille is easy to remove. It is finished in white and can be painted. Thanks to the very narrow visible edge of the mounting flange, the loudspeaker can discreetly blend into the ceiling and room design.
