The ARCAM AVA15 is an AV receiver with high-quality technology and an unobtrusively modern casing. Nine integrated Class D amplifier channels, modern surround processing, and extensive streaming features make it the central control unit for movies, music, TV, and gaming.

Nine Channels for Immersive Speaker Setups

With its nine amplifier channels, the AVA15 supports speaker configurations such as 7.1.2 or 5.1.4. This allows classic surround speakers to be combined with height channels to make Dolby Atmos and DTS spatially immersive. The maximum number of channels is 12, so the AVA15 also offers room for expansion with external amplification.

Dolby Atmos, DTS, and Dirac Live

Dolby Atmos and DTS deploy sound effects not only to your left, right, and behind you, but also overhead. This creates a more spatial soundscape, for example, in movie scenes with rain, flying movements, or large concert recordings. Dirac Live Room Correction is integrated and calibrates the room to adapt playback to the acoustic conditions. Dirac Live Bass Control and Dirac Live Active Room Treatment are supported, but require separate licenses.

HDMI 2.1a for Modern Picture Sources

Seven HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs are available for sources such as game consoles, Blu-ray players, streaming boxes, or TVs. Up to 8K/60 Hz or 4K/120 Hz are supported, as well as HDR, HDR10, HDR10+, HDR10+ Gaming, Dolby Vision, and HLG. VRR and ALLM are on board for gaming. eARC/ARC on HDMI Output 1 enables audio return from the TV.

Streaming and Wireless Playback

The AVA15 works with the ARCAM Radia App, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, and Roon Ready. Apple Airplay, Google Cast, Internet Radio, Podcasts, and UPnP are also supported. For wireless connections, the AV receiver offers Bluetooth 5.4 with Snapdragon Sound and Auracast.

Daily Operation

Operation is via the 6.5-inch color display, the front buttons, the rotary knob, the Bluetooth remote control, on-screen menus, and the ARCAM Radia App. The display shows, among other things, playback status, inputs, internet radio presets, and audio and system settings. For calibration via Dirac Live, a USB-C port for the measurement microphone is available on the front.

Connections for Flexible System Integration

The ARCAM AVA15 offers HDMI, coaxial and optical digital inputs, analog RCA inputs, preamplifier outputs, speaker terminals, Ethernet, USB-A, headphone output, trigger connections, and RS-232. This allows it to be integrated into both a classic living room home theater and more extensive installations.

Placement

Free placement with good ventilation is important, as the AVA15 gets warm during operation. More than 0.3 m distance is recommended, and no other device should be placed on top of the amplifier.
