Operation is via the front panel, the Bluetooth remote control, and the ARCAM Radia AV Control App. The 6.5-inch color display shows status and metadata clearly on the device front. The Bluetooth remote control is intended for continuous operation even without a direct line of sight. Upon first power-on, a Radia AV device offers a Quick Setup with network configuration and checking and processing of available software updates.

The AVP45 should be placed on a flat, stable surface and not in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in a damp environment. Open placement is important for heat dissipation; a closed cabinet or bookshelf solution is only suitable with good ventilation. A distance of more than 0.3 m is recommended, and no other device should be placed on top of the AVP45. The black casing, the yellow ring on the rotary control, and the Rear-Panel Cowl support a tidy integration in a home cinema rack.
