Through the continuous pursuit of perfection and the development of new technologies, Technics has acquired extensive expertise. This concentrated HiFi knowledge ensures that the EAH-A800 offers a truly moving audio experience. The newly developed 40 mm driver with a seamless dome, consisting of a composite of different materials, also contributes to this. This sophisticated material mix ensures optimal rigidity and stability of the diaphragm, thus providing clear sound and the deepest bass with minimal distortion. A special rear housing called an "Acoustic Control Chamber" ensures controlled airflow and provides the driver with the best conditions for precise bass reproduction. In addition, special polymer thin-film capacitors are used – a technology that also ensures distortion-free signal flow in the audio circuits of Technics' reference-class amplifiers, elevating sound quality to an even higher level. Furthermore, the EAH-A800 supports Hi-Res audio playback via Bluetooth® and LDAC technology3, delivering music in the highest resolution with a wide dynamic range and fast signal response.

First-class voice quality for calls

A total of eight microphones are placed next to the right and left ears on the EAH-A800, ensuring absolutely undisturbed, natural voice transmission during phone calls. Four MEMS microphones handle the pure voice recording in the highest quality. Four additional microphones, thanks to "beamforming technology" in conjunction with noise reduction, ensure that no disturbing ambient noises affect voice quality. Noise cancelling is active during calls. Unique signal processing and voice analysis ensure that ambient noises are effectively suppressed and the voice is transmitted crystal clear.

Wind noise suppression

Wind noise can drastically affect the call quality when making calls outdoors, so Technics has accordingly adjusted the design of the built-in microphones to effectively suppress disruptive wind noise. Inside the EAH-A800's capsules, "feed-forward microphones" are used to make the headphones less susceptible to noise and vibrations caused by wind. Furthermore, the "main-talk microphones" on the front and back have been fitted with specially designed, fine-mesh grilles, and the "sub-talk microphones" also feature an attached wind guard to effectively prevent interference and vibrations from direct wind.

Industry-leading2 Noise Cancelling technology allows those who like to live flexibly or work anywhere to immerse themselves in sound worlds, regardless of the environment. Through Dual Hybrid Noise Cancelling technology, which combines analog filters, feedback microphones, feed-forward microphones, and digital filters, disruptive noises inside and outside the headphones can be minimized with exceptionally high performance.

Bluetooth Multipoint-Pairing and 50 hours of battery life

Multipoint pairing allows two Bluetooth® devices to be connected to the EAH-A800 simultaneously. For example, if you are participating in a video conference with a laptop and need to discuss another matter with someone else on the phone, you can start calling by simply touching the call button. The EAH-A800's battery capacity provides enough power for up to 50 hours of music playback or around 30 hours of talk time – far more than other headphones with noise cancelling2.

Optimal wearing comfort

Great attention was paid to ensuring a comfortable fit and maximum wearing comfort with the EAH-A800. Its 3D ear pads feature a slightly curved design to distribute the pressure evenly across the entire ear. Memory foam material was used for the ear pads to ensure a particularly comfortable and secure fit. The inner diameter of the ear pad has been increased to fit comfortably around the ear, yet the headphones can be stored in a compact carrying case, which is included. Further comfort is provided by a wear sensor that automatically stops music playback when the headphones are removed. If they are put back on within 60 seconds, playback resumes exactly from that point.
