The A-50 is a 2-channel integrated amplifier for stereo music. It is suitable for beginners as well as experienced listeners who want to securely drive powerful speakers while also enjoying convenient streaming.
Sound & Technology
A three-stage inverted Darlington amplifier ensures controlled power with low distortion. The DIDRC circuitry (Dynamic Intermodulation Distuction Circuitry) reduces high-frequency noise – the result is clear, quiet sound. A fanless design, a high-quality 32-bit/768-kHz DAC, 10000-µF capacitors, and a massive aluminum heatsink deliver superb dynamics.
Connectivity & Operation
The device features 3× RCA (Line), Phono MM/MC, HDMI ARC, Coax, 2× Optical, USB-A (playback), and headphone connections. A power amplifier/sub can be connected via Pre-Out; setup microphone input and Dirac Live (see below) assist with fine-tuning.
Streaming & Apps
Connection is made via WLAN/LAN or Bluetooth (SBC, aptX, aptX HD). Supported services: Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Amazon Music, Qplay, TuneIn, AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Roon Ready. With the Onkyo Controller App, you can control sources, network settings, and more.

The A-50 drives a wide range of speakers (4–16 Ω) – from compact to floor-standing speakers. Dirac Live Room Correction (frequency response correction 500 Hz–20 kHz; full version optional) adapts the sound to your room and audibly enhances bass precision and spatiality .
