The Y-50 features a compact, home-friendly enclosure with an aluminum front panel, an elegant LCD display, and high-quality craftsmanship including a ventilated top cover in the San-Kuzushi pattern.

250 Watts of Power for Controlled Speaker Drive

The Y-50 operates with a fully digital circuit design and an Axign Class-D amplifier with MOSFET output. The output power of 250 W (4 Ω, 1 kHz, THD 0.7%, 2 channels) or 125 W (8 Ω, 20 Hz–20 kHz, THD 0.08%, 2 channels) provides ample reserves for a wide selection of speakers (4–16 Ω).

Smart Control with 5.46" Color LCD and App Control

The 5.46-inch color display shows information such as the currently playing track and an analog-style VU meter. Configuration and control are also available via the Onkyo Controller App, including functions such as equalizer, balance, and other device settings.

Streaming Variety and Modern Network Functions

Integrated platforms such as Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay 2, and Chromecast enable convenient streaming. Ethernet and Wi-Fi support stable network connections, and Bluetooth (SBC, AAC) is also integrated.

Extensive Connectivity for TV, Gaming, Turntables, and More

The Y-50 is designed as a central hub for various sources: analog RCA inputs, digital inputs (COAX/Optical/USB-A), and HDMI connections including HDMI-ARC and HDMI-Out for video and gaming audio. The Phono input is MM/MC compatible, plus Pre-Out (RCA) and a separate Subwoofer-Out, as well as a 6.3 mm headphone output.

Room Calibration with Onkyo Room EQ

The proprietary Onkyo Room EQ room calibration (developed for the Muse Series) analyzes the listening room and optimizes the sound field. Additionally, settings such as subwoofer configuration, crossover, and level adjustments are available.

Silent Operation without Fan

The electronics are precisely temperature-controlled, eliminating the need for a fan. This ensures particularly quiet operation.
