More Power, More Emotion – Thanks to the PWX Power Supply

The Black Cube SE combines the proven Black Cube circuitry with the significantly more powerful PWX power supply. The result is a commanding, multi-layered reproduction with deeper bass, more open highs, and effortless, organic mids.
The image-hifi review confirms these very qualities: The SE version "subjectively feels a touch warmer and finer in the highs" and combines precise depiction with musical flow – "an exceptionally talented animator."

High-Quality Components for Professional Performance

As is typical for Lehmann, only selected studio-quality components are used – exactly the same input stages that manufacturers of professional mixing consoles use. The passive RIAA filter network sits between two linear gain stages and operates with tight-tolerance polypropylene capacitors. This allows the Black Cube SE to achieve exceptionally precise, clean, and neutral reproduction.

Maximum Flexibility for MM and MC Systems

With a maximum gain of 66 dB, the Black Cube SE is suitable for almost all MM and MC systems. There is a slot per channel for solder-free impedance adjustment – additionally, there is a hard-wire slot for perfect fine-tuning. Upon request (by phone or email), individual resistors are included free of charge.

Clean Operation Thanks to Perfect Decoupling

The audio section and the PWX power supply are made of non-magnetic aluminum and are mechanically damped in the lid. Additional internal components effectively suppress hum, HF interference, and noise components. The double-sided audio board improves ground routing and minimizes interference – a point that image hifi also praises: The circuitry is "noise and hum resistant" and carefully constructed.

Compact Design – Freely Placeable Next to the Turntable

The PWX power supply is deliberately kept compact, so that both units can be placed directly where they make the most sonic sense: near the turntable. The connection is made via a shielded cable with Neutrik XLR connectors for maximum contact reliability.
