Compact Hi-Res Audio Streaming Amplifier for Flexible Audio Installations

The sonoro AMPLIFIER is a Hi-Res Audio streaming amplifier for passive HiFi or ceiling-mounted speakers. It is suitable both as a space-saving HiFi system and as part of larger audio installations. With its compact format, high-quality aluminum housing, and clear design language, the device combines living-room-friendly design with installation capability for more demanding applications.

Sound, Performance, and Individual Customization

Equipped with Class-D Hypex amplifiers and 2 x 250 watts at 4 Ω, the sonoro AMPLIFIER is designed for operating external speakers with an impedance of 4 to 16 Ω. The integrated ESS Technology SABRE Digital-to-Analog Converter is available for each output and supports precise conversion. Settings for bass, treble, and balance are available for sound adjustment. In Advance Mode, a 7-band equalizer, Adaptive-Loudness, and advanced bass management for systems up to 2.2 further expand the possibilities. This allows the amplifier to be specifically adapted to different speakers and room situations.

Multiroom, Streaming, and Smart Home

A central feature of the sonoro AMPLIFIER is sonoro Multiroom technology via Audio over IP. Up to 32 sonoro multiroom-capable music systems of the latest generation can be operated simultaneously, in zones, or individually, depending on the respective network infrastructure. For music access, Internet radio, podcast, Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Amazon Music HD, Qobuz Connect, Deezer, DLNA, and UPnP are available. The bidirectional Bluetooth connection also allows the use of wireless Bluetooth headphones. Through compatibility with Busch-Jaeger, Gira, Jung, and the open KNX standard, the sonoro AMPLIFIER is prepared for smart home applications and can be integrated into automated scenes.

Connections, Ease of Use, and Rack Installation

Features include HDMI ARC for TV sound, an optical input, USB-A with charging and playback function, AUX-In, Sub Pre-out, and a LAN network connection. Operation is via remote control, the sonoro audio app, or directly on the device. The high-resolution 4" TFT color display can optionally show device or room names during operation and standby, which makes it easier to keep track, especially in multiroom and installation environments. The sonoro AMPLIFIER is also designed for installation: two devices fit perfectly into a 2U rack tray or 19" rack tray. A demand-controlled fan supports heat management and operational safety.
