A subwoofer is useful if films, music, or games with palpable deep bass are to be reproduced. The SVS SB-2000 Pro supplements loudspeaker systems in the low-frequency range and makes bass components audible that smaller loudspeakers often cannot fully reproduce.

Operation on the Device or via the SVS App

The SVS App works with iOS, Android, and Amazon operating systems. It allows convenient adjustment of crossover frequency, parametric EQ, polarity, room gain, and other bass management functions from the listening position.

Three custom presets allow for different tunings for film, music, or personal preferences. This means the SVS SB-2000 Pro can be tuned differently depending on the content without having to reconfigure all settings each time.

The 50 MHz audio DSP with 56-bit filtering offers extensive adjustment possibilities. Three parametric EQs help to specifically address bass peaks or problem areas in the listening environment.

Yes, the SVS SB-2000 Pro is also suitable for music. Via the app, the low-pass filter can be individually adjusted so that the bass harmonizes with the main speakers.

Active Subwoofer: Why does Active Make Sense for This Product?

In the SVS SB-2000 Pro, amplifier, DSP, filter functions, app control, and room adaptation are already integrated into the device. This eliminates the need for an external subwoofer amplifier, and volume, phase, low-pass, polarity, room gain, and parametric EQ can be adjusted directly on the subwoofer or via the app.

What Room Size Does the SVS SB-2000 Pro Require?

We recommend a room size between 15m² and 35m² for use. For smaller rooms, Room Gain Compensation is relevant. This function can reduce bloated-sounding bass in the low-frequency range via the app if too much bass energy is generated in the room.

Where a Subwoofer Should Not Be Placed

A subwoofer should not be placed near water or heat sources. If used in a confined piece of furniture or enclosed area, sufficient ventilation must be provided.

Sensible Placement in the Room

Possible positions include the corner, the front between or next to the front speakers, and the sidewall. The front position can improve integration with main speakers and the center, while the sidewall can also be an effective location.

Connection to Home Cinema and Stereo

For home cinema systems, the subwoofer can be connected to the subwoofer output of an AV receiver via the LFE input. For stereo applications, left and right line-level inputs are available.

Multiple Subwoofers for More Even Bass

Using two or more subwoofers can enable a more even frequency response in the listening area, fewer room modes, less booming, and reduced bass localization. The RCA outputs facilitate the integration of additional subwoofers.
