3-Way Design Explained Simply

The SVS Ultra Evolution Pinnacle is a 3-way speaker. In a 3-way design, separate drivers handle the high, mid, and low frequencies. This allows each range to work more precisely, separating voices, instruments, effects, and bass components more cleanly.

Diamond-Coated Tweeter for Clear Highs

The 1-inch Diamond-Coated Tweeter uses an aluminum dome with a diamond-carbon coating. The FEA-optimized Organic Cell Lattice Diffuser supports airy, unadulterated highs and clean treble reproduction.

Four 8-Inch Woofers for Deep Bass

Four 8-inch woofers operate in a Force-Balanced-Opposed-Array. This arrangement is designed for deep, precise, and evenly distributed bass, while simultaneously reducing the vibrational forces acting on the cabinet.

Acoustically Centered Architecture

The mid-range and woofer arrays are arranged rotationally symmetrically around the tweeter. This allows low, mid, and high frequencies to emanate from a common acoustic center, supporting a cohesive spatial representation.

Time-Aligned Cabinet Geometry

The cabinet shape accounts for minimal time differences between the drivers. This allows the individual frequency ranges to converge better at the listening position, which is particularly relevant for soundstage imaging, localization, and dialog intelligibility.

Stable Cabinet Against Discoloration

The 25 mm thick driver baffle, the 18 mm cabinet construction, internal bracing, and sound damping are designed for low resonance.

Room Placement and Distance to Wall

For the front speakers, a position of approximately 30 degrees to the left and right of the listening position is suggested as a starting point. A slight toe-in towards the listening position can focus the acoustic image.

Furthermore, we recommend a distance from the wall of 30 - 60 cm. The absolute minimum distance is 15 cm.

Placement on Various Floors

Screw-in elastomer absorber feet are provided for setup and are height-adjustable. Additionally, height-adjustable metal spike screw feet are included, allowing the floor-standing speaker to be adapted to different floor surfaces.

Connections for Classic Wiring, Bi-Wiring, and Bi-Amping

The gold-plated 5-way terminal supports classic speaker cables as well as connections via banana plugs, pins, spade connectors, and bare wire. The speaker is also prepared for bi-wiring and bi-amping.
