The AT-VM95E is part of Audio-Technica's new VM95 series, which continues the tradition of the AT95 series while modernizing it. With its revised housing design, improved materials, and elliptical, bonded diamond stylus, the cartridge delivers an impressive balance of warmth, detail, and dynamics.
As a Dual Moving Magnet system, the AT-VM95E is designed so that its two magnets precisely correspond to the left and right channels of the record groove — for precise channel separation and a realistic, spatial soundstage. The elliptical stylus tracks the record groove more precisely than a conical stylus, allowing for an extended frequency response, lower distortion, and more natural reproduction.
Thanks to complete compatibility within the VM95 series, the stylus of the AT-VM95E can be exchanged at any time for another VM95 stylus – from conical to Shibata. This allows for flexible sound character adjustment or easy cartridge renewal after stylus wear.
The cartridge is equipped with integrated M2.6 threaded inserts, making mounting possible without nuts. This saves time and ensures a stable, precise adjustment – both on headshells and with directly mounted tonearms.
