The Denon
Home 400 is a wireless smart speaker for music streaming, multi-room use
and networked listening throughout the home. As a standalone stereo speaker,
the model combines Dolby Atmos Music with a six-driver system and
integrated upfiring speakers. The focus is on rich, expansive
sound, easy setup, and the ability to flexibly
expand the system.
Dolby Atmos Music and Six-Driver System
One of the key features of the Denon Home 400 is the combination of Dolby Atmos Music and two built-in upfiring speakers. This creates a natural-sounding vertical dimension that makes the soundscape more spatial and immersive. This is complemented by a specially developed six-driver array, consisting of two tweeters, two upfiring speakers and two woofers. Each driver has its own amplifier, which underlines the demand for balanced, detailed and room-filling sound.
HEOS, Streaming and Easy Operation
Powered by HEOS is one of the central strengths of the Denon Home 400. Setup takes only a few minutes, and music, speakers, and rooms can be combined and controlled in one app. For streaming, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and AirPlay 2 are available. Additionally, the speaker offers a USB-C port for direct connection of stored music or an Ethernet adapter, as well as a 3.5mm AUX input. High Resolution Audio Support extends the application possibilities for high-quality music playback.
Expandable System for Stereo, Zones and Surround
The Denon Home 400 is not only designed as a single smart speaker but as part of an expandable system. For bigger sound, speakers can be grouped or organized into zones, so that either the same music is played everywhere or a different track in each room. A stereo pairing with a second Denon Home Speaker is also possible. Furthermore, the model can be used as a wireless surround speaker for the Denon Home Sound Bar 550 and supports a subwoofer Powered by HEOS.

In addition to its technical features, the Denon Home 400 stands out with its elegant design and precise sound tuning. The speakers of the Denon Home series have been tuned in Japan by the Denon Soundmaster and are designed for natural balance, rich details and a full sound.
