LB200 Light Box – Light Box for McIntosh Home Audio Systems

The LB200 Light Box is designed for McIntosh home audio and home entertainment systems where less attractive accessory devices need to be neatly integrated. Streaming boxes, cable boxes, satellite receivers or similar components can be placed inside.

Storage space for additional components

At the back, a removable panel provides access to a large storage compartment measuring 41 × 11.25 × 34.2 cm. The rear opening measures 35.5 × 6.7 cm. If a device cannot be inserted through this opening but fits into the storage compartment, the top can be removed. Small, separate openings on the back support the attachment of cable management.

Operation of internal devices

An IR receiver kit is included for controlling the devices placed inside and is neatly installed in the storage compartment. An extra-wide IR sensor window on the front receives remote control signals and transmits them to the devices inside. RF and Wi-Fi commands can pass through the LB200 without significant signal loss. We do not recommend installing a home Wi-Fi router in the LB200.

Placement, Ventilation, and Design

The LB200 is approximately the size of a McIntosh CD player and can be placed in a standard audio/video rack, on a piece of furniture, or on other McIntosh devices. The top, bottom, and sides are equipped with numerous ventilation slots to dissipate heat from internal devices. If devices are placed in the LB200, nothing should be placed on top of the LB200 to avoid impeding heat dissipation. A power control input and output as well as a power switch are available on the rear. The front consists of illuminated black glass, complemented by aluminum end caps.
