AT-ART9XA – High-End MC Cartridge with Non-Magnetic Core
The Audio-Technica AT-ART9XA is the successor to the AT-ART7 and is considered
one of the best high-end MC cartridges on the market. With a Shibata stylus
and a 0.28 mm solid boron cantilever, it ensures highly precise reproduction
across the entire frequency range – ideal for vinyl enthusiasts with the highest
standards.
Naturalness and Precision without Magnetic
Distortions
Unlike classic MC systems with a magnetic core, the AT-ART9XA operates
with a non-magnetic core. This completely avoids magnetic distortions,
enabling natural tonal color and a precise soundstage. Voices, instruments,
and soundscapes are reproduced more faithfully than ever before.
Technical Innovations for Maximum
Performance
- Newly developed coil armature with an output voltage of 0.2 mV (1 kHz, 5 cm/s)
- Dual Moving Coils made of high-purity PCOCC wire, in an inverted V-shape for high channel separation and wide frequency response
- Shibata stylus for detailed high-frequency and midrange reproduction
- Solid boron cantilever with excellent resonance properties
- Neodymium magnet & Permendur yoke for increased magnetic energy
- Hybrid housing made of aluminum and high-strength plastic to minimize resonances
- Integrated threaded holes for easy mounting on the headshell or tonearm
The AT-ART9XA has been recognized as an Audio-Technica Excellence Product – a seal of quality for uncompromising high-fidelity performance.
