AT-ART9XI – Audio-Technica's Reference Moving Coil Cartridge
With the AT-ART9XI, Audio-Technica introduces the legitimate successor to the AT-ART9 – a high-end moving coil cartridge with a magnetic core, honored as an official Excellence Product.
The "ART" (Audio-Technica Reference Transducer) designation in the model name is reserved exclusively for the absolute top products. At the heart of the AT-ART9XI is the newly developed magnetic circuit, which delivers an output voltage of 0.5 mV (1 kHz, 5 cm/s) – for dynamic, detailed, and at the same time expressive sound behavior.
The Special Line Contact stylus and the 0.28 mm solid boron cantilever ensure extremely precise groove tracing and excellent high-frequency reproduction. The Dual Moving Coils made of high-purity PCOCC wire, arranged in an inverted V-shape, offer maximum channel separation and a wide frequency response – ideal for clear localization and minimal distortion.
The combination of a neodymium magnet and a permendur yoke significantly enhances magnetic energy. This is complemented by a hybrid housing made of aluminum and high-strength plastic, which minimizes parasitic resonances, as well as a milled aluminum base that ensures perfect stability.
Thanks to the integrated threaded holes, installation on the headshell or tonearm is quick and straightforward. The AT-ART9XI is thus the first choice for audiophiles who want to get the maximum performance out of their turntable.
