The AT-VM760xSL represents the pinnacle of Audio-Technica's VMx series, combining technical perfection with audiophile musicality.
Like all models in the series, it utilizes the proven Dual Moving Magnet principle, which is based on the design of a cutter head: two precisely aligned magnets independently scan the left and right groove walls of the record, enabling excellent channel separation and an extended frequency response.
At the heart of the system is the para-toroidal generator with consecutively arranged PCUHD® copper coils (Pure Copper Ultra High Drawability), which ensure outstanding signal purity and impulse response. Due to the reduced number of windings, the coils react faster to signal changes – for a lively, spatial, and natural sound image.
The Special Line Contact stylus traces the record groove with extreme precision and uniformity, ensuring minimal wear with maximum detail resolution, especially in the highs. The solid boron cantilever transmits vibrations lightning fast and with exceptional precision. The die-cast aluminum housing minimizes resonances and unwanted vibrations, while integrated threaded inserts simplify mounting.
The design is rounded off by the V-shaped cutout in the protective cap, which allows a clear view of the stylus and serves as a guide when lowering it onto the record.
