The Hegel C53 is the three-channel version of the C5 series, designed for powerful, low-distortion multi-channel amplification.
With 3 x 150 watts at 8 ohms, stable down to 2 ohms, it delivers supreme control even with demanding speakers.
Thanks to its elaborately designed power supply, high-current output stages and separate signal paths, the C53 offers a sound image that is as precise as it is effortless.

SoundEngine² – clean performance without harshness

Hegel's SoundEngine² technology works like an active distortion suppression system:
Impure signal components are detected in real time and eliminated by out-of-phase correction.
The result is a sound image that is simultaneously neutral, soft, spatial and highly dynamic – without roughness or harsh-sounding transients.
Thanks to the efficient low-bias Class A/B operation, the amplifier also remains rack-compatible and cool.

Modular, flexible and perfectly integrable

Each of the three amplifier channels is individually configurable – ideal for multiroom, multi-channel setups, center/front combinations or bi-amping.

The C53 offers:

• Gain switch (23 / 29 dB) per channel
• Phase switch (0° / 180°) per channel
• Trigger In/Out for daisy-chaining
• Balanced XLR & unbalanced RCA inputs

This allows the amplifier to be seamlessly integrated into large AV or studio systems .

Robust Pro-Audio housing

The C53 is built on a massive steel/aluminum chassis with integrated rackmount ears (3U).
Included equipment feet allow for classic HiFi use as an alternative.
The adjustable rear rack mount simplifies installation in professional racks as well as in complex systems.
