SoundEngine² – Hegel's Patented Sound Technology

Inside, the latest SoundEngine² circuit works – a technology that actively detects and eliminates distortion in real-time.
This principle works similarly to noise-canceling: disturbances are neutralized in inverse phase, even before they affect the output signal.
The result is clear, noise-free, and natural sound, free from harshness and with impressive dynamics.
The amplifiers operate in low-bias Class A/B mode, which reduces heat generation and allows for rack mounting without overheating issues.

Modular Design for Every System

The C5 series was developed for maximum flexibility.
The C55 is the 5-channel version of the C-series – from multi-channel home cinema to bi-amping systems and even studio or installation solutions.
Each channel features separately switchable gain (23/29 dB) and phase settings (0/180°) to ensure seamless integration into complex systems.
A trigger input and output allow for automatic power-on or daisy-chaining of multiple amplifiers.

The solid chassis with integrated rackmount ears is designed for professional 19" installation. Optionally supplied feet also allow for classic operation in a HiFi rack.
