With a modern design language, satin-matte surfaces, and the absence of hard edges on the die-cast baskets, the FS 247.4 harmoniously integrates into contemporary living environments. The slightly convex shape of the baffle also reduces edge reflections, optimizing acoustic performance.

Precision through JET High-Frequency Technology

The heart of the speaker is the JET-Folded Ribbon Tweeter (AMT). This tweeter, folded according to the JET principle, is characterized by lightning-fast response and a wide dynamic range. It offers minimal distortion and high headroom, resulting in a transparent and detached soundstage that receives international recognition.

Optimized Aluminum Woofers for Seamless Transitions

To keep up with the dynamics of the JET tweeter, the woofers feature a one-piece aluminum cone construction with complex curvature. This design prevents partial vibrations and extends the frequency range. An oversized, ventilated pole piece and a large voice coil ensure exceptional bass dynamics and robust performance.

Flexible Placement with Down-Firing

The bass reflex port of the Carina series is downward-facing. Sound exits from the bottom panel, which minimizes noise and allows for significantly more flexible placement in the room, as the impact on nearby walls is reduced.

Acoustically Optimized Cabinet

Each cabinet is constructed from sturdy MDF outer walls. Strategically placed internal bracing improves structural integrity, minimizes unwanted vibrations, and prevents sound coloration.

FAQ

How should the speakers be optimally positioned?
For the best stereo sound image, an equilateral triangle arrangement to the listening position is recommended. Ideally, the speakers should be placed approximately 30 to 60 cm away from walls or room corners to ensure natural bass reproduction without overemphasis.

What is the advantage of bi-wiring?
The double terminal allows the high/mid-range and bass range to be connected via separate cables. This enables sound optimizations. Shorting links are pre-installed for standard operation with only one cable.

Are the front grilles removable?
Yes, the speakers are equipped with magnetically held grilles. These can be easily removed by gently pulling and reattached if necessary, with the magnets automatically fixing the grille in the correct position.

Does the speaker have a tilt protection?
On the back of some floorstanding speakers there are safety clips. These can be used to secure the speaker against tipping with a string and wall hooks (not included in the scope of delivery).
