The Marantz CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 is a slim 7.2-channel AV receiver for movies, music, and gaming. With 50 watts of power per channel, 7 power amplifiers, and support for Dolby Atmos, it lays the foundation for an immersive entertainment experience in your own home.

Whether it's exciting film scenes, clear dialogues, or epic soundtracks: The CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 is designed for versatile use. Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization, Dolby Atmos Music, DTS-HD, DTS:X, DTS Virtual:X, and Multichannel Stereo are supported. This allows the system to be flexibly used for classic surround sound playback and immersive audio formats.
HDMI features for modern image sources
With six HDMI inputs and one HDMI output, the AV receiver centrally connects TVs, players, and game consoles. HDMI 2.1 with 8K/60 Hz and 4K/120 Hz, eARC, ARC, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, Dynamic HDR, HLG, ALLM, VRR, and AMD FreeSync compatibility on HDMI 4–6 make the CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 particularly interesting for modern home cinema and gaming setups. HDMI signals can be upscaled from 1080p or 4K to 8K.
Streaming and Multiroom with HEOS
Powered by HEOS™ integrates streaming and multiroom playback directly into the receiver. Music can be accessed via services such as Amazon Music, Amazon Music HD, TIDAL, Deezer, iHeart Radio, SoundCloud, Mood Mix, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, and Internet Radio via TuneIn. AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet are also available. For high-quality music files, the receiver supports FLAC HD 192/24, WAV 192/24, ALAC 192/24, DSD at 2.8/5.6 MHz, and gapless playback for FLAC, WAV, ALAC, and DSD, among others.
Operation, setup, and convenience
Operation is via the system remote control RC055SR, the Marantz AVR Remote App, and HEOS. For tablets, Android, iOS, and Amazon Kindle are supported. The modern HD-GUI on-screen dialogue, the setup assistant, and Smart Select facilitate everyday setup. Audyssey MultEQ XT handles automatic speaker configuration via microphone; an upgrade option for Dirac Live Room Correction is also available.
Flexible connections for many sources
In addition to HDMI, analog inputs, a phono input for MM cartridges, an optical and a coaxial digital input, USB audio, two subwoofer outputs, and a 7.2 multichannel pre-out are available. There are 7 connections for speakers; speaker A/B, bi-amp, and multi-room speaker terminals are configurable.
