The Concentro Center 501.2’s appearance captivates with a modern hybrid design that combines progressive elements of the Concentro series with the clean lines of the Vela series. The all-around sloping baffle, the trapezoidal basic shape, and the convex housing design come together to form an organic whole that, despite impressive dimensions, radiates a strong visual presence.

Maximum flexibility through Directivity Control Ring (DCR)

Since every listening room has different acoustic properties, DCR technology enables individual adjustment of the directivity in the mid-range. With the help of three different Directivity Control Rings included in the delivery, the ratio between direct and diffuse sound can be set in three stages. This allows the sound to be optimally adapted to the environment, from reverberant to heavily damped rooms.

Crystal membrane technology for maximum precision

The woofers of the Concentro Center use AS-XR technology (Aluminum Sandwich with extended resonance optimization). The distinctive crystal-like embossing of the aluminum cone ensures extreme stiffness and ideal damping. In combination with a revised magnet system and a novel surround, this enables linear excursion, minimal discoloration, and impressive dynamics.

Perfect localization through coaxial arrangement

The StepX-JET system relies on a coaxial arrangement of the JET 6 tweeter and an aluminum mid-range driver. This design guarantees perfect spatial imaging and precise localization over a large listening zone. The JET 6 tweeter impresses with lightning-fast impulse response, minimal distortion, and an extended frequency range that reaches up to 50,000 Hz.

What do the Directivity Control Rings (DCR) do?
The rings serve as interchangeable waveguides to adapt the loudspeaker's directivity to the room acoustics. They allow the proportion of direct sound at the listening position to be varied, which is particularly advantageous in acoustically challenging (e.g., very reverberant) rooms.

What is the advantage of the AS-XR crystal membrane?
The crystal embossing significantly increases the stiffness of the aluminum cone. This minimizes resonances and sound coloration, while simultaneously increasing power handling and playback dynamics.

Can the center speaker be combined with other speakers?
The Concentro Center 501.2 is technically and visually the perfect partner for all speakers in the Concentro series within a multi-channel system, but can also be used in other high-end setups due to its neutral tuning and performance.
