VXe Technology: Tailored Sound

The innovative VariableCoaxialElectric system allows, for the first time, to mechanically-electrically influence the dispersion characteristics of the mid-range. A rotary switch on the back precisely controls the balance between direct and diffuse sound, enabling perfect depth staging and pinpoint localization even in acoustically challenging or asymmetrical rooms.

Unique Concentric Mid-High Range System

At the heart of the VXe unit works the handcrafted JET 6c tweeter, surrounded by six high-performance A-XR mid-range drivers. This interaction forms an ideal ring radiator, guaranteeing silky, detailed reproduction up into the ultrasonic range and reproducing voices with natural precision.

Impulse-Compensated Bass Power

For a deep foundation, two side-mounted 250 mm woofers in an aluminum sandwich construction are responsible. Due to their opposing arrangement, these work in an impulse-compensated manner, which minimizes cabinet resonances and enables extremely powerful, yet always controlled, bass reproduction down to 24 Hz.

Maximum Connection Flexibility and Down-Firing

The integrated down-firing bass reflex system uses the floor as an interface, which significantly simplifies placement in the living room. The high-quality connection terminal with gold-plated contact surfaces supports single-wiring, bi-wiring, and bi-amping, and ensures loss-free signal transmission through internal wiring from Van den Hul.
