Engineered for Maximum Performance
With its meticulous circuit design, the M-5000 offers perfect symmetry between the left and right channels through their complete physical and electrical decoupling. The intentionally simple circuit concept reduces the signal path to a necessary minimum, minimizes energy losses, and achieves low impedance for absolutely high-quality music reproduction.

Balanced Amplifier with MOSFETs
The sophisticated amplifier concept utilizes a direct connection of the power supply to the output stages. The complete decoupling of the entire amplification circuit from ground eliminates unwanted influences from even the smallest voltage fluctuations or ground disturbances. The concept also relies on a completely symmetrical design that uses MOSFET power amplifiers, thereby improving the operation of loudspeakers even with low impedance.

Unshakeable
During the development of the M-5000, disruptive vibrations were eliminated for perfect sound reproduction. In addition, a new grounding concept was developed in which the power transformer, charging capacitors, and heat sinks are mounted directly to the rigid construction with bolts. This ensures optimal fixation and completely suppresses the disruptive influence of vibrations.

Power That is Heard
A massive toroidal transformer with a 3 mm thick base plate made of pure brass, which suppresses unwanted vibrations, ensures perfect HiFi sound. The high-quality toroidal transformer has no influence on the audio circuits. The direct copper wire of the winding core contributes to the low impedance and significantly reduces energy loss compared to conventional designs.

Heavy Duty Wiring
Massive cables and screw connections contribute to the low impedance of the M-5000. In this way, less energy is lost than with conventional plugs and cable connections. The use of screws and brass terminals directly on the charging capacitors instead of solder joints ensures a direct connection with low impedance.

Standing on Its Own Feet
In the development of the M-5000, every technical aspect that influences sound was considered. The obsession to achieve the best possible sound led to the development of the new, patented feet. The heavy brass feet decouple the M-5000 either as pure spikes or with scratch protection for sensitive surfaces.

The M-5000 features large, highly precise level meters on the front panel to visualize musical dynamics. Protected by 7mm thick Asahi glass, the meters enhance the M-5000's exceptionally elegant appearance.

The M-5000 uses extra-large screw terminals for the speakers to ensure easy handling and a secure connection. The speaker terminals, developed by Yamaha, are milled from a solid brass block and underline Yamaha's high standard of quality. The 3 mm thick base plate of the terminals is also made of pure brass, making it particularly durable and stable. Furthermore, it is non-magnetic, thereby reducing distortion of the audio signal.
