Michi P5 Series 2 Stereo Preamplifier for Analog and Digital Audio Sources
The Michi P5 Series 2 is a stereo preamplifier for high-quality audio systems. It supports analog and digital audio sources, PC-USB with MQA and DSD, aptX™ HD Bluetooth, and a phono input for Moving Magnet and Moving Coil systems. This allows the device to cover classic sources, computer audio, and wireless streaming in one preamplifier.
Dual ESS SABRE ES9028PRO Converters in MONO Mode
A key feature of the P5 Series 2 are the dual ESS SABRE ES9028PRO 8-channel D/A converters, specially configured for MONO mode. The redundant processing with 8 D/A converters per channel is designed for very detailed music reproduction, an extremely low noise floor, and an exceptionally wide soundstage. This makes the preamplifier stand out, particularly through its focus on precision, detail, and spatial imaging.
Power Supply and Signal Routing for High Fidelity
Two shielded toroidal transformers, manufactured in-house, supply 16 independent power supply branches. Critical stages are supplied separately to keep noise floor and distortion very low. This concept is complemented by strictly symmetrical signal paths, which avoid time differences in the channels and support natural, precise reproduction.
Connections and Features of the Michi P5 Series 2
The Michi P5 Series 2 supports analog RCA, coaxial and optical digital inputs, PC-USB, balanced XLR inputs and outputs, and a switchable phono input for MM and MC systems. In addition, there is aptX™ HD Bluetooth, AAC Bluetooth, Roon Tested, support for MQA and MQA Studio, as well as DSD and DoP via PC-USB. For operation and integration, a high-resolution graphic display, front panel controls, a headphone output, the RR-RH6 IR remote control, RS232, NETWORK jack, EXT REM IN, and 12V trigger connections are available.
