Frequency Response and Port Tuning

The SVS PB-17 Ultra R|Evolution can be tuned differently via its three bass reflex ports. Depending on the setting, it operates in Standard Mode with 14 to 220 Hz, in Extended Mode with 12 to 220 Hz, or in Sealed Mode with 14 to 320 Hz.

The change is made using the included foam port tuning plugs: In Standard Mode, all ports remain open; in Extended Mode, two ports are operated open and one port is closed; in Sealed Mode, all three ports are closed.

In addition, the appropriate tuning is selected via the SVS App so that the subwoofer, DSP control, and port configuration work together. This allows the bass to be adjusted for high home cinema levels, particularly deep bass down to 12 Hz, or a more controlled reproduction, depending on the room, system, and listening preferences.

Deep Bass with 17-inch Long-Throw Driver

At the heart of the subwoofer is a 17-inch front driver with a large excursion. The large cone area moves a lot of air, making it particularly suitable for powerful low-frequency components in movies, music, and gaming.

Integrated Class D Amplifier

The STA-2800 Class D amplifier is integrated for high power output.

DSP Control for Precise Control

A DSP monitors and controls central functions of the subwoofer. This allows fine adjustment of level, filters, phase, polarity, room gain compensation, and other settings.

Operation via SVS App and OLED Display

The SVS Subwoofer Control App is compatible with Apple iOS, Google Android, and Amazon Fire. Important settings can be conveniently managed via smartphone.

On the rear, there is also an OLED display with direct control. The display flip function improves readability depending on the setup.

Three Memory Presets for Different Applications

Three memory presets allow quick system adjustments. This way, different settings for movies, music, or personal listening preferences can be saved.

Sturdy MDF Enclosure with Internal Bracing

The robust MDF enclosure with internal bracing is designed for low-resonance reproduction at high levels. This supports clean bass reproduction and reduces unwanted enclosure influences.

Protective Grille and Iso-Elastomer Feet

The extra-thick ABS grille frame with fabric cover protects the driver from damage. Screw-in Iso-elastomer feet improve stability and reduce noise artifacts.

Connections for Home Cinema and Audio Systems

Unbalanced RCA inputs and balanced XLR inputs are available for integration. Additionally, there are trigger options via the app, a 3.5mm trigger input, and USB power supply for the separately available SVS SoundPath Wireless Audio Adapter.
