Varro RS500 Active Subwoofer for Home Cinema and HiFi
The Varro RS500 is an active reference subwoofer with a 250mm woofer and room correction. It is designed for home cinema, stereo, and surround sound, adding dynamic deep bass and more sound volume to music and films.
Precise Bass Even with Difficult Placement
The Sub Control 3.0 app handles automatic room correction via the smartphone or tablet microphone. This allows the subwoofer to be placed more freely in the room, while correcting peaks, dips, and boominess in the bass range.
Power with Control
The patented BASH amplifier operates with 500 watts RMS and 1,000 watts peak. Together with the DualCore 28-bit DSP at 147 MHz, the RS500 processes the audio signal precisely and with low latency, ensuring that bass remains controlled even at high levels.
250mm Long-Throw Woofer for Tangible Deep Bass
The front-firing 250mm bass driver with HEX surround is designed for high dynamics, impulse fidelity, and defined deep bass. The 50mm voice coil supports high continuous power handling and reduces the risk of overheating the device.
App Control for Easy Adjustment
The free Elac Sub Control 3.0 app for Android and iOS allows multiple subwoofers to be controlled simultaneously. Parametric EQ, variable crossover, phase, and volume allow for precise adjustment to the room and listening habits.
Flexible Connections and Wireless Ready
The RS500 is suitable for stereo amplifiers and AV receivers and offers LFE, line, and speaker inputs. The integrated AirX2 wireless receiver also enables wireless control of up to three subwoofers with the optional AirX2 Wireless Transmitter.
Acoustically Optimized Enclosure
The high-quality decorative enclosure with 30mm wall thickness, polyester wool, and bracing frame is designed for low resonances. The Satin Black finish combines a modern look with living-room friendly integration.
