Description
Vela Line: Sound Meets Design with Acoustic Added Value
The Vela line bundles technologies from over 95 years of acoustic expertise and features high-gloss lacquered or real wood veneered cabinets with a trapezoidal cross-section. The backward-sloping cabinet shape and convex baffle curvature aim to minimize baffle reflections and improve imaging in stereo and multi-channel operation in modern living environments.
JET 6 Tweeter: AMT from Kiel for Fine Resolution up to 50 kHz
At its heart is the JET 6 tweeter (Air Motion Transformer), developed and built in Kiel. It covers an extended frequency range up to 50 kHz, operates with low distortion, and impresses with remarkable clarity in the upper treble range as well as high fine resolution and micro-dynamics. The JET 6 is justifiably installed within the Vela line due to its fast impulse response and wide dynamic range.
AS-XR Crystal Cone: Clean Bass without Resonances
The 150 mm woofer with AS-XR aluminum sandwich construction combines low weight with high rigidity. Aluminum torsional stiffness and the internal damping of the pulp cone support clean, precise reproduction without unwanted resonances or distortion. The crystal structure of the aluminum cone is designed for an extended frequency range with a gentle roll-off, excellent large-signal behavior, and a small VAS for powerful bass from compact enclosures.
Down-firing Bass Reflex: More Freedom in Placement
The bass reflex port is directed downwards and tuned for reduced ventilation noise and greater flexibility in placement.
Connectivity Options for Demanding Setups
Bi-wiring is provided; bi-amping is also possible. This allows the Vela BS 403.2 to be flexibly integrated into various amplifier and cabling concepts.
