The Vela line combines over 95 years of acoustic expertise with a trapezoidal cabinet design. High-gloss finishes and the convex baffle arch support clean dispersion and aim for improved imaging in stereo and multi-channel operation.
JET 6: AMT Tweeter with Extended Frequency Range
The JET 6 operates on the Air Motion Transformer principle and covers a linear frequency response of over 50 kHz. Designed for low distortion, high power handling, and very clear, finely resolved high-frequency reproduction – developed and built in Kiel, Germany.
AS-XR Crystal Membrane: Controlled, Precise Bass
The AS-XR woofers use an aluminum sandwich construction with high rigidity and low weight. The crystal structure of the aluminum cone increases torsional stiffness, while the internal damping of the pulp membrane supports clean, precise reproduction without unwanted resonances or distortion – with an extended frequency range and gentle roll-off.
Downfiring Bass Reflex for More Placement Flexibility
The downward-firing bass reflex port reduces noise and increases placement flexibility. This concept is complemented by a cast aluminum base plate with an integrated, doubly rounded downfiring bass reflex tube.
Bi-Wiring for Flexible Cabling
The Vela 2.0 FS 409.2 supports bi-wiring, offering the option to drive high/mid-range and bass separately.

ELAC Vela 2.0 FS 409.2 is a 3½-way floor-standing loudspeaker from the Vela line, designed for precise, high-resolution reproduction and flexible placement in living spaces, featuring the JET 6 AMT, AS-XR crystal membrane drivers developed and manufactured in Kiel, and down-firing bass reflex.
