Description
Three disciplines, one standard
The Phonolith was developed for a clear reality in the HiFi market: streaming dominates, vinyl is experiencing a strong comeback – other sources are fading into the background. Lehmannaudio responds to this with a device that serves precisely these two worlds in the highest quality. The Phonolith combines a highly flexible phono preamplifier, a powerful preamplifier, and a reference-level headphone amplifier in an unobtrusive form factor.
Phono stage with maximum adaptability
The integrated phono preamplifier offers extensive adjustment options for impedance and gain, making it suitable for practically all commercially available MM and MC cartridges. Four gain stages and selectable impedances, including a slot for a custom impedance, allow for precise adaptation to the respective system. Additionally, a switchable bass filter with multiple corner frequencies in the low-frequency range can provide tranquility if the setup or the vinyl material requires it.
Reference headphone amplifier from Lehmannaudio
Headphone amplifiers have always been one of Lehmannaudio's core competencies. The headphone output integrated into the Phonolith corresponds to the highest level currently offered by the manufacturer. Thanks to adjustable output gain, even power-hungry and insensitive headphones perform at their sonic best. This quality has been valued for years by internationally renowned sound engineers and mastering studios.
Preamplifier for modern setups
The preamplifier output of the Phonolith is capable of effortlessly driving even long cable runs. This allows the device to be flexibly combined with active loudspeakers or power amplifiers, such as the Lehmannaudio Stamp. The Phonolith is therefore ideal as a central control unit for a modern, minimalist high-end system.
Mechanical tranquility as the sonic basis
Both the audio section and the external PWX II LZ power supply stand (pre-assembled) on Lehmannaudio 3S equipment feet. These effectively convert disturbing resonances into heat and create the basis for a stable, quiet, and precise playback.
