This add-on device serves to extend the high-frequency spectrum of conventional loudspeakers far into the ultrasonic range. By reproducing frequencies beyond 50,000 Hz, the finest nuances are made audible, leading to a spatial sound impression that can hardly be achieved with conventional loudspeakers alone.

Elegant Exterior and Flexible Placement

The housing impresses with high-quality craftsmanship featuring immaculate black high-gloss lacquer and black chrome-plated terminals. A special feature is the rotatable device base: by simply twisting it, the setup angle can be adjusted. This allows for secure placement on flat enclosures as well as on angled tops, as found, for example, in the Vela or Concentro S series.

Innovative 360-Degree Dispersion Technology

Inside, a ribbon only 5 µm thin ensures a complete 360-degree sound dispersion. This 360-degree characteristic means that the listener perceives the sound not just from the loudspeaker, but is enveloped by it. The patented 4PI system has been a symbol of first-class high-frequency reproduction since its development in 1984.

Precision through State-of-the-Art Components

Behind the facade, a magnetic system optimized using finite element simulation works together with state-of-the-art SMD assembly technology to ensure absolutely clean signal processing. For individual adjustment to the main loudspeaker, the device also offers the possibility to adjust both the sensitivity and the lower crossover frequency in three steps via contact pins.

Can the tweeter be used on loudspeakers with angled cabinets?
Yes, the 4PI PLUS V has a rotatable device base. By rotating it, the angle can be adjusted so that the device stands stably even on inclined surfaces (e.g., ELAC Vela or Concentro S).

How is the super tweeter connected?
The device can be connected in parallel to any existing main loudspeaker. Via the integrated contact pins, the tweeter can also be optimally adjusted in terms of sensitivity and crossover frequency to the operating environment.

What is the advantage of 360-degree dispersion?
Thanks to the ultra-thin 5 µm ribbon, sound is emitted all around, which provides superior spaciousness and silky, precise high-frequency reproduction that completely immerses the listener in the sound event.
