The audiolab 7000CDT outwardly resembles the sequential series,
thus offering cross-brand aesthetic consistency. It improves upon the
6000CDT with a new mechanism, USB HDD playback, and a new
IPS LCD color screen! More compact than the 9000 series, it aligns perfectly with
the 6000 and 8300 series, offering clear ergonomics,
high-quality engineering, and excellent all-around
performance.
New Series, Identical Standards
The 7000CDT employs a high-precision optical system with an
electronic data buffer for precise and seamless CD playback. The
technology of the 7000CDT is very similar to that of the 9000CDT, offering high
sound quality by minimizing jitter and clock noise. To
ensure an unblemished signal reaches the associated DAC,
the 7000CDT’s coaxial output is fed by a differential line driver. The master clock is controlled by a high-precision crystal oscillator,
meaning the digital output at both coaxial and optical
jacks exhibits vanishingly low jitter (digital distortion).
Isolation Against Vibrations
The low-friction loading tray, robust aluminum base, and chassis of the
7000CDT counteract the vibrations caused by the mechanics of a high-speed
motor. Furthermore, the transport is housed in its own
electromagnetically shielded enclosure with its own power supply. All of this contributes to exemplary digital signal extraction,
while the proven resonance reduction further improves performance and its impact
on hi-fi ancillary equipment and signal
chains.
Digital Files in Any Format
In addition to best-in-class CD playback, the 7000CDT also offers the
ability to stream digital music files via a dedicated USB (Type A) port
on the rear of the unit. All major high-resolution and
lossless audio formats are supported, including WAV, AAC, and WMA, as well as
compressed MP3 formats.
All on Display
Influenced by the flagship 9000CDT, the 7000CDT improves upon the 6000CDT with a 2.8-inch IPS color display and a detailed yet simple user interface. The 7000CDT thus offers a clear representation of information such as system settings, format, folder, track details, and other data.
