The basis for high frequencies
The 700 Series features the latest generation of our legendary Tweeter-on-Top housing. Its new, elongated shape contains a longer tube system that produces an even freer and more open sound in the high-frequency range. The carefully decoupled housing was milled from a single solid aluminum block to counteract resonances even better.
Pin-sharp details
The Carbon Dome tweeters were specially developed for the 700 Series and offer significant advantages over double-layer aluminum tweeters. Their breakup frequency is 47 kHz, which enables highly precise and detailed sound reproduction.
Truly astonishing sound
Thanks to its composite construction, the Continuum™ cone prevents abrupt transitions that can impair the performance of conventional drivers. This contributes to a more open, neutral performance, and voices and instruments are reproduced with high precision and transparency.
Clear and pure
Each three-way speaker in the new 700 Series is equipped with a special midrange driver chassis based on four key technologies from Bowers & Wilkins: the Continuum cone, FST™ technology, the biomimetic suspension, and midrange decoupling, which minimizes interference from the bass drivers.
A triumph of science
The Aerofoil™ profile bass cone was developed using state-of-the-art computer simulations. With its variable thickness, it provides stiffness and stability in all relevant places. The result is deep, dynamic bass.
