Vintage inspired

The industrial design of the C 3050 was inspired by the NAD 3030 stereo amplifier, a 1970s classic. Vintage styling elements include two illuminated VU meters, pushbuttons for source selection, a walnut-finished, vinyl-clad cabinet, and a dark grey front panel with the original New Acoustic Dimension logo in 1970s italic script.

Thoroughly modern

Featuring NAD's renowned HybridDigital UcD amplifier technology, the C 3050 boasts Full Disclosure Power of 100 watts per channel (continuous) and 135 watts per channel (dynamic), for effortless reproduction of musical transients. Noise and distortion are practically unmeasurable across the entire audio band. The result is neutral, inviting sound into any speaker load – even at high listening levels. The C 3050 reproduces the music you love with wonderful detail, impressive spatiality, and thrilling dynamics.
Future-proof
The C 3050 incorporates the latest generation of NAD’s future-proof Modular Design Construction technology, MDC2, which allows users to add new features and functions by inserting an optional module into the MDC2 slot on the rear panel. MDC2 is an all-new design that allows for two-way communication between the expansion module and the host component. The optional MDC2 BluOS-D Module offers two highly desirable functions: BluOS High-Resolution Music Streaming and Dirac Live Room Correction.

A world of music

Equipped with dual-band Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet, the MDC2 BluOS-D gives you access to a vast selection of music via BluOS, the award-winning wireless music management system. Using the intuitive BluOS Controller app, listeners can access more than 20 popular streaming services, including several that offer lossless and high-resolution audio, such as Amazon Music Ultra HD, Deezer, Qobuz, and Tidal. BluOS supports high-resolution audio up to 24-bit/192kHz, and has MQA decoding and rendering capability for studio-quality streaming. With the MDC2 BluOS-D, you can also play music from your personal library and thousands of Internet radio stations through the C 3050 stereo amplifier.

Music is everywhere

With the MDC2 BluOS-D installed, the C 3050 can be part of a whole-home music system with as many as 64 zones, all with independent source and volume control. You can have different music playing in different zones, or group zones and play the same music simultaneously. The MDC2's two-way architecture allows the BluOS-D module to stream music from any source connected to the C 3050 to BluOS-enabled components in other rooms.
The MDC2 BluOS-D supports Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect, so you can play music in these services’ apps and then transfer playback to the C 3050. It also supports Apple AirPlay 2, allowing you to stream audio from any app on an iPhone, iPad, or Macintosh computer to the MDC2 BluOS-D. You can also control playback by voice using Amazon Alexa or Apple Siri.

Work with the room

With the MDC2 BluOS-D, C 3050 owners can address the weakest link in most music systems – the listening environment. Plug the supplied microphone into the MDC2 BluOS-D’s USB port, then follow the instructions in the easy-to-use Dirac Live app. Dirac plays test tones through your speakers, analyzes the results, and then creates correction filters that counteract common acoustic problems like standing waves and unwanted reflections. The results are transformative. With Dirac Live***** enabled, you’ll experience dramatically improved bass definition, greater tonal accuracy, and more precise imaging. Thanks to the MDC2’s two-way communication, you get these benefits with all sources connected to the C 3050. You can create up to five Dirac settings for different listening positions or room conditions, e.g., with curtains open and closed.

Well connected

With its multitude of digital and analog inputs, the C 3050 can accommodate all your source components. Vinyl fans will appreciate the C 3050’s ultra-low-noise MM phono stage. For movie and TV enjoyment, the C 3050 has an HDMI eARC port for connecting an HDTV, allowing the C 3050 to serve as the hub of a powerful 2.0- or 2.1-channel home theatre system. The C 3050 also features line-level analogue, coaxial, and optical digital inputs.
Two pairs of speakers with Speaker A/B switching can be connected, as well as a subwoofer. Thanks to two-way aptX HD Bluetooth connectivity, you can stream audio from a smart device to the C 3050, and from the C 3050 to wireless headphones. The C 3050 also has a dedicated headphone amplifier, and pre-out/main-in jacks, which allow you to connect a more powerful amplifier and use the C 3050 as a pure preamplifier. The C 3050 comes with an IR remote control and features installation-friendly features such as 12V trigger and IR input.
