More clarity through high-performance DAC and HDAM-SA2

The improved integrated high-performance D/A converter works together with Marantz HDAM-SA2 circuits. A D/A converter translates digital music signals into analog signals for your hi-fi system.

Hi-Res playback via USB-A

The CD 70 plays high-resolution music files via the USB-A port on the front. FLAC, WAV, AIFF, ALAC, and DSD are supported via USB-A. This means the CD player is suitable not only for classic CDs but also for high-quality digital music collections.

Convenient everyday playback

The Marantz CD 70 offers practical operating functions such as program play with 25 tracks, repeat, and random playback. Central functions can be conveniently controlled from the listening position via the included RC006PMCD remote control. The VFD display can be dimmed or switched off if you want less distraction while listening. Selectable digital filters for CD playback allow for additional sound customization.

Connections for the hi-fi system

For connection to your system, there is a 2-channel analog output via cinch as well as an optical and a coaxial digital output. The cinch connections are gold-plated. Digital inputs are not available. Additionally, the CD 70 offers a D-Bus connection, a headphone output, and volume control for headphones.

Enjoy music alone

The dedicated headphone amplifier works with an HDAM-SA2 buffer and an OP-AMP. The HDAM-SA2 buffer is a Marantz circuit stage that processes the audio signal for the headphone output before it is further amplified. OP-AMP stands for operational amplifier and here describes the amplifier stage within the headphone amplifier. Together, these components ensure that you can also use the CD 70 directly with headphones - with its own volume control and without necessarily switching on the entire system.

The Marantz industrial design appears high-quality, calm, and modern. The metal front panel, the additional metal plate for chassis reinforcement, and the balanced proportions ensure that the CD 70 harmoniously integrates into a sophisticated hi-fi environment.
