The Hegel H150 is the successor to the H120 in the Hegel range. It was designed as a true
all-in-one solution, offering excellent audio performance and
ease of use - without breaking the bank.

It features the same
advanced streaming platform and control app as Hegel's flagship H400 and H600 models, and includes a powerful integrated MM phono
preamplifier. For the first time in a Hegel product, they have also added a USB drive input
through which you can connect a solid-state or conventional
hard drive directly to the amplifier.

Above all, it is the performance that stands out. The H150 offers a level of performance,
soundstage and musicality.

H150 Streaming Amplifier – The Prodigy

Hegel has nicknamed it the "Prodigy" , as it is the entry-level model in their product range, but offers a performance and versatility normally reserved for far more expensive models, thus demonstrating a talent
far beyond its price.

The H150 is inspired by
Hegel's reference products, but improves the user experience with its own
unique solutions. With a variety of
connectivity options and a powerful, precise amplifier module, the
H150 is a true all-in-one music solution. It fits seamlessly into a variety of
rooms and can confidently drive almost any speaker.

Design & Construction

The H150 is a full-width amplifier designed for standard hi-fi components.
However, its depth of only 35 cm makes it easy to place on or in most
shelves and media furniture.

Available in black and white, the H150 fits into any interior with its clean, understated design. Its robust
construction includes a thick, precision-machined aluminum front panel and control knobs,
as well as a steel cover with ventilation openings that emphasize its compact, modern appearance.
A central OLED display provides a clear display even from a distance and can be dimmed or switched off completely depending on the environment.

Amplifier Performance

The H150's rated power of 2 x 75W may seem modest, but don't let that deceive you. This is no ordinary amplifier. The H150 features a
dedicated Class AB amplifier design with Hegel's patented SoundEngine 2 technology, which ensures a class-leading damping factor of 2000 and stable operation down to a 2 ohm load. The SoundEngine 2 preserves musical detail and
dynamics with breathtaking clarity, providing an immersive and lifelike
listening experience.

The H150 is powered by a large, ultra-low noise toroidal transformer
and high-speed capacitors that provide instant power, giving the
H150 the power and punch to effortlessly drive even the most demanding
speakers.

Every aspect of the H150 has been carefully developed by Hegel to ensure unparalleled

Integrated DAC

Inside the H150 is a powerful, specially developed four-stage
Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC). Inspired by the renowned Viking CD player, it utilizes
Hegel's latest digital advances to achieve rich, detailed sound from both connected digital
sources and the internal streaming section.

Streaming Made Easy

The H150 supports a variety of streaming options as standard: Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Google Cast™ Apple AirPlay and UPnP are
integrated, providing seamless access to your favorite services. The list is constantly being updated, and automatic firmware updates keep you up to date as new services become available. The H150 is a modern device that effortlessly stays ahead of its time.

Digital Connectivity Variety

With the H150, you can easily connect your external digital sources.
Two optical inputs (one optimized for TV), a coaxial input, a USB-B port, and a network port accommodate everything from TVs,
streamers, and gaming consoles to laptops and network nodes.

A USB-A socket allows you to connect a flash drive or external hard drive (and even charge a smartphone or laptop), with media library management handled via the Hegel Control App. A coaxial digital output can route signals from the digital inputs to active speakers, a second system, or an external DAC in DAC loop mode, upgrading the digital stage without compromising the H150's functionality. This is a level of flexibility rarely found in amplifiers of this class.

Analog Connections

The H150 is not only excellent for digital sources. Nothing is left to chance on the analog side either. The H150 features an unbalanced analog RCA input and a true electronically balanced XLR analog input.
Particularly noteworthy is the H150's high-quality Moving Magnet
phono input, which complements any good MM turntable with details and dynamics normally reserved for dedicated phono preamplifiers. The amplifier also features a good headphone output and a variable
line-level output, so subwoofers or external power amplifiers can be easily added.

Everyday Usability

The H150 is designed to be as user-friendly as possible. Anyone in the household can use the
H150 without reading the manual. Input detection on the digital inputs and when streaming activates the amplifier and automatically selects the correct source, while the adjustable standby function saves energy after playback ends. Common TV remote control codes are pre-installed, allowing you to seamlessly control volume and power with your TV remote control. Each input can be set to a high output level,
allowing you to control the volume with any connected device, such as your home theater
receiver or multi-room streamer.

Multi-room is also offered directly in the amplifier,
either via AirPlay, Google Cast or Roon, and voice commands via
Google Home or Apple Home are just a sentence away.
Control is also possible via the elegant aluminum remote control or the free
Hegel Control App, which offers full input and volume control
as well as integrated internet radio and podcasts from Airable. The result is an
amplifier that makes sophisticated performance accessible to all users.
