The Yamaha HA-L7A is a headphone amplifier for anyone who really wants to get the most out of their music through headphones – without having to struggle with technical details. You simply connect your source (e.g. PC, CD player, or streamer) and your favorite headphones and get significantly more clarity, spaciousness, and control than from a normal headphone output.

Powerful sound thanks to clever amplifier design

Inside, special amplifier technology from Yamaha works to keep interference and noise out of the signal as early as possible. Left and right channels are processed cleanly and separately, leading to a stable soundstage, clear localization of voices and instruments, and a very quiet background. This makes long listening sessions without harshness or listening fatigue easily possible.

High-resolution playback with ESS Reference DAC

The built-in D/A converter from ESS (ES9038PRO) ensures that digital sources – from high-resolution music streams to files from your PC – are reproduced with high detail resolution. The finest nuances, spatial information, and quiet details are preserved, making recordings sound more natural and lively.

Powerful and controlled playback

Two separate toroidal transformers supply power to the pre- and power amplifiers. In practice, this means: confident, controlled bass, plenty of dynamics, and a sound that doesn't collapse even with complex music. The HA-L7A handles many different headphones, from simpler models to high-quality, high-impedance hi-fi headphones.

Versatile connections – from PC to CD player

Almost anything can be connected: USB from a computer, optical and coaxial digital inputs for players, plus an analog RCA input. There are three headphone jacks on the front (6.3 mm, 4.4 mm balanced, XLR4), so high-quality, symmetrically wired headphones can also be used. Via the line and pre-outs, the HA-L7A can also function as a pure DAC or preamplifier in a larger system.

SOUNDFIELD & Pure Direct – depending on your mood

With the SOUNDFIELD modes, the sound image can be adapted to content such as movies, concerts, or background music, and a larger, more spacious soundstage can be created. If you prefer it as pure as possible, simply activate Pure Direct – then everything unnecessary is bypassed and you hear the signal as directly as possible.

High-quality craftsmanship and simple operation

The solid aluminum casing, the five metal feet, and the sophisticated, low-vibration construction not only ensure an elegant look but also stability and quietness in the sound. The OLED display on the top clearly shows you the input source, volume, and mode, and automatically dims to avoid disturbance. This makes the HA-L7A feel high-quality, yet remains pleasantly uncomplicated to operate.
