Large VU meter and 7-segment LED
Analog needle-type level meters are a symbolic design feature of Luxman integrated amplifiers. The L-505Z is equipped with a large double display with bright LED backlighting and high response values. We chose such a display so that the movement of the needles is synchronized with the dynamics of your music. In addition, newly installed 7-segment LEDs indicate the volume. The backlight and LED display can be switched on and off using the remote control, making it easy to see the current volume from the listening position.
LIFES – Luxman Integrated Feedback Engine System
LIFES is based on the technical concept of our groundbreaking ODNF circuit and realizes excellent, dynamic characteristics without returning the original audio input signal to the main amplifier, thus achieving remarkably natural sound quality – almost as if it were a circuit without feedback. The design has been redesigned and expanded from scratch with the help of simulation technology and careful research. Through repeated listening tests, rigorous analysis and combining specially selected components, we have achieved superior performance characteristics and a level of quality suitable for use in Luxman's next-generation products. In the production of LIFES version 1.0, we have succeeded in reducing the number of parallel elements while improving performance by carefully revising the entire circuit. The output stage features a three-stage Darlington parallel push-pull configuration and achieves a Class AB output power of 100W into 8Ω and 150W into 4Ω.
LECUA - Volume Control
The volume control is involved in both the function and performance of the integrated amplifier and requires sensitive signal processing. Thanks to the 88-step volume control, the volume of the L-505Z can be changed finely and smoothly.

High-capacity and high-inertia power supply
To ensure instant power supply and a sense of output voltage stability, a generously dimensioned power supply is required as the source of all current. The L-505Z is equipped with a high-capacity EI power transformer of 540 VA, which is combined with four 10,000-μF block capacitors, which is Luxman's traditional high-inertia power supply.
Newly developed parallel headphone outputs
In addition to the standard 6.3mm output, a new 4.4mm output with independent left and right ground connections has been added, which significantly improves L-R separation for listeners who want to enjoy truly three-dimensional sound.
Extensive functions as well as inputs and outputs
The L-505Z integrates tone control, volume, LR balance adjustment, bi-amp configuration with additional power amplifiers and separate functions that allow use with AV amplifiers.
Thanks to trigger/control interfaces, the L-505Z can be excellently integrated into existing AV systems.
Ergonomic aluminum remote control
The robust, ergonomic aluminum alloy remote control can also operate compatible LUXMAN CD players released after 1996.
