The Dynaudio Legend is a compact bookshelf speaker from the Home series. It is aimed at music lovers who are looking for a living-room-friendly speaker without wanting to compromise on sound, workmanship, and material quality.
Compact design with a big soundstage
Despite its compact size, the Dynaudio Legend plays surprisingly big, detailed, and powerful. The tuning combines high clarity with a pleasant midrange and makes long listening sessions with sources such as vinyl, streamers or TV particularly appealing.
What the tweeter and MSP driver specifically do
The 28mm Esotar 3 tweeter handles the fine high frequencies. This brings out voices, cymbals, or strings clearly and cleanly. The 15cm MSP driver works in the mid and bass range, contributing to the body of voices, instruments, and rhythm. This division helps the Legend to play with detail and substance despite its compact size.
Bass reflex design function
The crossover precisely divides the music signal into high frequencies and the remaining range and directs both signal components to the appropriate drivers. This way, each driver only has to reproduce the range it is designed for. The rear-mounted bass reflex design with a dual-flared port supports a fuller reproduction in the lower frequency range and helps to get more sound volume out of the compact enclosure.
Handcrafted enclosure with genuine material character
Each pair is manufactured in Skanderborg, Denmark. The natural rosewood panels are hand-selected and visually matched to each other, complemented by Jatoba hardwood corner pieces. This creates not only a high-quality surface but also a pair of speakers with its own grain and character.
Flexible placement in the living room
The Dynaudio Legend can stand classically on stands, as well as on a shelf or sideboard. Placement on its side or with the woofer at the top is also possible, which facilitates integration into various living situations. For listeners who do not want a large floor-standing speaker but are looking for more sound and quality than many compact standard solutions offer, this is a central advantage of the Legend.
