LUMIN N1 Audiophile Network Switch
The LUMIN N1 is an audiophile network switch for hi-fi systems. It combines flexible network connections with optical network isolation and an internal linear power supply.
Network Isolation and Connectivity Options
The LUMIN N1 provides fiber optic SFP ports and RJ45 copper connections. SFP connections allow for complete electrical isolation of sensitive hi-fi components from the rest of the network, while RJ45 connections can bundle wired network devices at a central hub.
Clocking and Stable Data Foundation
The external 10M clock input allows synchronization with LUMIN U2X or an external master clock. Synchronization can help minimize jitter by allowing connected devices to operate on a consistent and stable timing reference.
Power Supply and Construction
An internal linear power supply with a low-noise linear regulator operates within a shielded power supply section of the enclosure. The aluminum chassis is styled similarly to the D3 and U2 Mini.
Setup and Home Integration
The LUMIN N1 requires no configuration. In a simple network, copper Ethernet runs from the router to the N1, and fiber optics run from the N1 to the LUMIN Player. Network and status LEDs can be switched off via a switch on the rear panel so they don't interfere with music listening.
