The ARCAM CD5 was developed for intense listening moments with favorite music on Compact Disc. As an ARCAM model from the Radia Series, it combines years of experience in CD playback with carefully selected components and materials to deliver compelling sound quality.
Integrated D/A Converter for Precise Signal Conversion
Inside, an ESS Technology Sabre ES9018 D/A converter (ESS Sabre 9018) is at work. The CD5 can be connected directly to amplifiers or active systems via analog RCA outputs, and digital outputs (coaxial and optical) are also available for integration into existing digital chains.
CD, CD-R and CD-RW – plus Hi-Res from CD and USB
The player supports CD, CD-R, and CD-RW. Additionally, Hi-Res audio up to 24-bit/96 kHz is provided for FLAC- and WAV-encoded CD and USB files. Via USB mass storage playback, the USB-A port is also suitable for music libraries from a USB stick.
Easy Operation and Clear Display
Operation is optionally via buttons on the device or by remote control. A graphic display supports quick orientation during playback.
Minimalist Radia Design and Sustainable Packaging
The ARCAM CD5 comes in the new Radia Design and sits in a low-resonance chassis made of matte black aluminum. It is available in black. The packaging is also "Plastic Free [...]"
