Hi-Res Audio Network Streamer for Hi-Fi System and Active Speakers
The sonoro STREAMER is a compact Hi-Res Audio network streamer for active speakers, near-field monitors, and existing Hi-Fi systems. The device is also designed for various audio setups in combination with external multi-channel power amplifiers. The focus is on extending existing systems with modern streaming functions in Hi-Res audio quality. A SABRE digital-to-analog converter with ESS Technology is integrated for conversion to the analog outputs. The compact format, the aluminum housing, as well as the full-metal buttons and rotary controls emphasize the high-quality construction.
Streaming, sonoro Multiroom, and Smart Home
A central feature of the sonoro STREAMER is the wired audio-over-IP solution for sonoro Multiroom. Up to 32 sonoro Multiroom-capable music systems of the latest generation can be operated simultaneously, individually, in zones, or across rooms; the actual number depends on the respective network infrastructure. Internet radio, podcast mode, Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, DLNA, and UPnP are available for playback. In addition, streaming services such as Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Amazon Music HD, Qobuz Connect, and Deezer are supported. In the smart home, the sonoro STREAMER can be used with solutions from Busch-Jaeger as well as with KNX-based systems from Gira or Jung. Volume, sources, and favorites can be controlled, among other things.
Connections, Sound Control, and 19" Rack Installation
The sonoro STREAMER offers versatile connection options for music and TV applications. It features HDMI ARC, optical input and output, AUX-In, USB-A, LAN, as well as Line-out, Stereo Pre-out, Sub Pre-out, and Trigger-out 12 V. For TV sound, the device can be integrated via HDMI with CEC function; switching on and off as well as volume control are then possible via the TV remote control, provided the TV has an HDMI ARC or eARC output. Settings for bass, treble, and balance are available for sound adjustment. In Advance Mode, a 7-band equalizer, Adaptive Loudness, and Bass Management for systems up to 2.2 are added. For audio installations, two sonoro STREAMERs can be placed side by side in a 19" rack tray. The 4" TFT color display can optionally show device or room names, even in standby.
